PARENTS & FAMILIES

Congratulations on having a Husky student in your family! We are excited to welcome your student to campus and support his or her needs and interests in any way that we can. Our Trachten-Zachs Hillel House creates a vibrant, welcoming and pluralistic Jewish community on campus to support your student. We offer opportunities designed to help students explore and understand Judaism on their own terms, in a personal and meaningful way.
But whether or not your student comes to services, goes on the free trip to Israel, or attends our programs, we are here for ALL Jewish students. We advocate for Jewish students on campus and strive to create a community where students will grow as young adults, develop their leadership skills and make lifelong friends.
There are no membership dues to join Hillel; your student becomes a member of our Jewish community the moment they set foot on campus. Whether they're interested in social justice, leadership development, free Israel travel, social activities, observing the holidays, or just having a place to study, we offer something for everyone.
The bottom line for us is the same as it is for you: there isn't anyone in the world more important to us than your student. That, more than anything else, is why we are here! Please look at our FAQ page or contact us at info@uconnhillel.org if you have questions or would like to schedule a tour of our beautiful Hillel house.
