Welcome

  • Parent's Club

UConn Hillel serves over 2,000 Jewish students at the University of Connecticut - Storrs campus where our students and staff create a diverse, warm, engaging and vibrant Jewish student community.

UConn Hillel engages Jewish students on campus through opportunities designed to help explore and understand Judaism in a personal and meaningful way. We offer through the Trachten-Zachs Hillel House a welcoming home away from home where students can be found studying 24/7, socializing, program planning and growing in through their own personal journey. You can also find them enjoying the snacks and beverages we provide, as well as reserved semester parking and an address for receiving packages.

Your support enables UConn Hillel to play a critical role as a campus leader in Israel advocacy and education, interfaith dialogue, combating and responding to Anti-Semitism, and providing resources to University administrators to ensure Jewish students are able to observe holidays and festivals during the academic calendar. Having a well-funded and fully-staffed Hillel is essential on today's college campuses. No other Jewish organization serves the Jewish student community more broadly or is better recognized internationally than Hillel.

There are no membership dues to join Hillel; your student became a member of our Jewish community the moment they set foot on campus. Whether they're interested in social justice, leadership development, free Israel travel, social activities, observing the holidays, or just having a place to study every day they call their campus home, we offer something for everyone.

Your support of UConn Hillel through our Parent's Club enables us to provide essential services and critical and engaging programs that heighten your students Jewishness, all while enabling us to advocate for the Jewish student community we serve. UConn Hillel's annual budget is 100% reliant on the generosity of gifts from our alumni, parents, foundations, other donors and friends such as you.

Please know that nothing we achieve is possible without your support!
